If you're looking to relax in a wonderful nature reserve, this excursion to Cheow Lan Lake is the perfect plan for you. Enjoy breathtaking views and unparalleled scenery in the province of Surat Thani!

Cheow Lan Lake Excursion

Between 7 and 7:30 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Krabi. There we'll set off on a road trip into Khao Sok National Park. Ready to discover the wonders hidden in Cheow Lan Lake?

After a two-hour drive, we'll arrive at the park, one of the major attractions in the province of Surat Thani. Featuring over 100 islands, imposing limestone cliffs and great biodiversity, the landscapes of this natural reserve will win you over from the moment we arrive. If we're lucky, while we explore we may even spot some of the local wildlife in their natural habitats, including elephants, wild oxen, deer, wild boars and monkeys!

Next, we'll board a boat to cruise on Cheow Lan Lake, also known as Khao Sok Lake, an emerald freshwater lagoon surrounded by a lush ancient forest. Fun fact: the dense forest that surrounds the lake is estimated to be about 160 million years old and even predates the Amazon rainforest!

After we have sailed the waters of the lagoon and taken some nice souvenir photos, we'll begin a hike through the rainforest, making our way to a hidden cave where we'll discover rock formations created over the years. Then, we'll stop for a buffet-style lunch at the floating restaurant in the Cheow Lan Dam.

With your appetites satiated, you'll have free time to relax on the waters of Cheow Lan Lake, swim and kayak on your own. We'll reconvene at 4:30 pm to depart for Krabi and, around 6 pm, we'll arrive at your hotel.

Hotel pickup

The tour includes hotel pickup in the areas of Krabi Town, Klong Muang, Tub Kaek and Ao Nang.
