Granada Geopark Off-Roading Tour

On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the Plaza de la Constitución in Guadix, where the jeeps will be waiting for us. We'll hop aboard and then start exploring the mountains and rock formations in the Granada Geopark and the valleys of Alhama and Fardes.

Before we leave Guadix, we'll make a stop in the cave district to see the numerous dwellings that have been carved out of the clay hills.

After taking some photos, we'll return to our jeep and head to Purullena to visit the End of the World Viewpoint. Located on top of a plateau in the Alhama River Valley, this observation point offers incredible views of the Sierra Nevada and the badlands of the Guadix region. While admiring the views, we'll explain how this place has transformed over the centuries.

Our jeep tour of the Granada Geopark will then continue to the Marchal Ravine, a natural monument full of peculiar rock formations that have been sculpted by wind and water erosion.

One of the last stops on our tour will be at the Covarrones and Tía Micaela Visitor Centre. Did you know that this place was used as a refuge by the Amazighs during the medieval period? We'll discuss its fascinating history as we travel through the different sections of the cave.

Afterwards, we'll continue admiring the beautiful views of the Fardes River Valley as we return to Guadix.

We'll say our goodbyes back at the starting point after a total of 4 hours.
